She is now 9 months old!

Oh my! Stella is 9 months old. What can say?! Other then I can't believe another month has come and gone. She is getting so big so fast. Over this past month Stella has decided that she doesn't like eating purees much anymore. She rather feed herself or have me feed her solid food off of a fork. She has also started crawling a lot more, she is learning how to pull herself up, she will put herself in the sitting position while laying on her back, she is always babbling away and she is waving. Mama, dada and baba are the extend of her vocabulary but sometimes we will hear a hi being thrown in. And she has taken a few steps while I hold her.
She has grown so much in just 1 month! She is becoming more and more independent everyday. I know she will always need me but to see her need me less in areas where she always needed me breaks my heart. What breaks my heart even more is knowing that in 3 months I will be planning her 1st birthday party! Where has all this time gone?!
This month Stella will have her 9 month check up. I am excited to see how much she has grown since her 6 month check up. The best part about this check up is there wont be any shots!
Here is a picture of Stella at 9 months old.
This is what Stella looks like after she is done eating dinner.

Happy 9 month birthday baby girl!

Happy 8 months Stella

Yes, today May 10th Stella has turned 8 months old! It's crazy to think that 8 months of Stella's life has already gone by. She has changed in so many different ways. I have seen my baby girl go from helpless newborn to mobile infant. Like I said it's crazy. She now stands by herself while up against something, she takes a few "steps", she is constantly babbling away, she army crawls, she says dada, mama and baba and she has finally started sleeping through the night. And now she is learning how to get herself up on her hands and knees to crawl. Yes, she does army crawl but she really doesn't get to far and it's not like she is speedy while crawling like that. I know that once she figures out how to crawl on her hands and knees we will be in trouble. Guess it's time for me to really baby proof the house.

You know everyday I sit here and I just watch Stella. I watch her explore new things and I watch her learn and take everything in. I sit here and I say, "Wow this is my baby. I created this life, I brought her into the world and now I get to watch her grow and learn." To think that you have created a life and brought that life into the world is mind blowing. And to watch that little life grow and learn and become something in this world is the best gift ever. Not everyone gets to see a little life grow right in front of them, not everyone is able to be blessed with such a little miracle. I can't explain the love, happiness and joy I get out of having this little blessing in my life. All I can say is that I am so thankful to have Stella in my life. She is the reason I was put on this earth. I was put here to to have and raise a beautiful baby girl and some day I hope to be blessed enough to raise another beautiful baby girl or boy.

Some pictures

Here are some pictures from out session on Saturday. Stella is so cute and our family is beautiful!

Ugh, are you kidding me?!

Not a good way to spend the weekend.

Well last weekend was kind of a bad(ish) weekend. Let me start off by saying that Thursday just wasn't the best day. One thing that really made that day bad was while I was doing laundry I noticed that the washer hadn't finished it's cycle. And it should've awhile ago, so I went down into the basement to find that the washer is stuck on 4 minutes left and isn't draining. It was trying to drain but wouldn't. So I reached to the back of the washer and moved around the draining hose to see if that would help. NOPE! It didn't help the whole thing blew off like a volcano! I ran into the other room and turned off the water. I stood their like wtf?! I went and called Luke and told him what happened. He said he would look at it when he got home. When Luke got home he went down into the basement to see what was wrong. He ended up spending an hour or so trying to figure out what was happening. He finally figured it out. And he fixed the washer it was draining the water out of the washer and all was fine.
Friday morning I go down to do some laundry. Nope that isn't going to happen. I looking at my washer and saw that there was water in my washer. Which means that water was backing up into my washer for some reason. I was like wtf now what is going on Luke said he fixed this. Called Luke and he said he didn't know what was going on. After talking to him I called my mom. At this point I had no clue what to do. I figured it was a clog, which made me mad and upset me because that meant we had to pay a plumber to come out. Ugh, that would cost $ we didn't have. After venting to my mom I went on with my day and just forgot about it. Came home after a good day out to find the washer full of water again, Luke downstairs confused and not knowing what to do and the floor in the basement wet. Luke ended up opening the washer door and a ton of water came out. Thank goodness the floor is cement in the basement and nothing of importance is down there. After hours of trying nothing was working. So we left it be confused to why the washer was backing up with water and why is wasn't draining out.
Saturday we had scheduled Stella to get her 6 month pictures done and get some family pictures done. Luke talked to a guy who he knows who said he could fix our problem. So we went on with our day thinking that he was going to show up later during the day. Well we went got our pictures done and still hadn't heard from him, I was worrying at this point. We needed to get our problem fixed. We finally later that night he texts Luke saying he would come by Sunday.
Sunday comes around the guy said he would be here at 11 guess what he hadn't shown up. Around noon Luke asked him if he was coming. We didn't hear from him and I was getting worried again. Finally the guy shows up at 3! 4 hours late but at least he showed up. After the guy being here for an hour he was able to fix our problem. Thank goodness!!!!! Turns out it was a really bad clog. The guy unclogged out pipes and flushed them out. And the best part he only charged up 80 bucks for it. We are so lucky, one someone else would've charged a crap load more just to come out to figure out a problem and then even more to fix it and two we were lucky that it wasn't anything major.
Needless to say that was a very stressful weekend.

6 month check up

April 1st, April fools day. I was no fool this year! Stella and mommy stayed home because she wasn't feeling good. Stella had her 6 month well baby check up on Thursday and ended up getting the last series of her shots :( Other then having to get shots her appointment went great! She weighs 17.1 and is 27.5 inches long! Her doctor said that she looks great and everything is right on milestone wise. He was shocked that she was already babbling "mama", he said normally babies babble "dada" first. Hehe, sorry daddy guess you will have to wait it out she will say "dada" soon enough.
So like I said Stella wasn't feeling well the next day. She was happy as can be when we got home after her appointment but when she woke up Friday morning she wasn't happy. She had a low grade fever, didn't want to eat and wanted mommy to just hold and snuggle her. Mommy had no problem with that. Thankfully Saturday was a much better day and she was feeling like herself again! :)
